The
Siena International Short Film Festival, headed up by Piero Clemente, was generous
enough to invite me for a one week stay in the beautiful medieval city of Siena,
with Women Are Not Little Men. The
third edition of this annual festival attracted guests from all over Europe
and a few from North America. The Italians make excellent hosts, with all the
delicious cuisine and fine wines, plus tours to the fantastic Tuscan countryside.
Three different distributors were interested in representing the film after
seeing it in Siena. New York's Forefront Films, Italy's Village,
and Belgium's asap. But in the end, Hazy
Pictures decided to continue distributing the film itself.
